After the first fermentation, Pu Erh teas are re-moistened and stored for years in cool environments or underground. This aging process gives the tea its characteristic earthy flavour and deep, malty notes that make Pu Erh so unique.  <\/p>\n<h3>Preparation methods China Pu Erh Tea<\/h3>\n<p>Pu Erh tea can be prepared in different ways depending on preference and tradition:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare the tea \u2013 rinsing recommended<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is common to briefly rinse Pu Erh tea leaves: pour hot water (95\u2013100 \u00b0C) over the leaves for 2\u20135 seconds and discard immediately.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Removes dust and small particles<\/li>\n<li>Opens the leaves<\/li>\n<li>Improves clarity and taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Grandpa style (traditional Chinese)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3\u20135 g tea per cup<\/li>\n<li>Rinse briefly<\/li>\n<li>Steep for 2\u20133 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Multiple infusions possible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Western preparation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 teaspoon per cup<\/li>\n<li>Optional rinse<\/li>\n<li>Steep for 3\u20134 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Clear and strong infusion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Gong Fu Cha (intensive method)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5\u20138 g tea in gaiwan or small teapot<\/li>\n<li>Multiple short infusions (20\u201360 seconds)<\/li>\n<li>Flavour develops with each infusion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><br \/>\nPu Erh tea becomes smoother and more aromatic with each infusion.
