Description
Ginger Tea with Dried Ginger Pieces
Ginger pieces bring a warm, spicy note to your cup. They can be infused on their own as ginger tea or used to add more depth and spice to homemade tea blends.
Dried ginger works well with fruit teas, herbal teas and spice blends. A small amount is often enough to make a blend taste stronger and more aromatic.
Ginger tea from dried ginger
For a simple ginger tea, pour boiling water over the pieces and let them steep depending on your preferred intensity. The longer the steeping time, the more pronounced the typical spiciness becomes.
If you prefer a milder taste, combine ginger with apple, orange peel or rosehip. For a warmer spice blend, cinnamon, cardamom or turmeric are good additions.
Dried ginger in tea blends
Dried ginger is a useful ingredient if you want to adjust existing tea blends. It adds a spicy note to mild herbal teas, gives fruit teas more warmth and fits well into seasonal spice teas.
Start with a small amount and increase it to taste, as ginger can become quite strong in an infusion.
Tea with a warm spicy note
Whether used on its own or combined with other ingredients, ginger pieces are suitable for tea blends with more spice, warmth and character.
