Description
Premium Japanese matcha
Sho Cha Matcha No. 1 is available in Switzerland exclusively through us. Imported directly from Japan without intermediaries and selected especially for our customers. This gives you the chance to enjoy a matcha that has already gained a loyal following in Germany – now finally available here as well.
Top quality from Shizuoka
This matcha comes from the first harvest of 2025, produced by Yoshiaki Hasegawa from Hamakita (Shizuoka), Japan. Hasegawa has been cultivating tea in a traditional, pesticide-free way for decades and has created a matcha known for its vibrant green colour and full-bodied flavour.
The flavour profile is perfectly balanced: slightly sweet, gently spiced and fresh with a rich umami. It is ideal for pure enjoyment as well as creamy lattes or modern recipes like shakes and smoothies.
Award: Great Taste Awards 2024, London
Sho Cha Matcha No. 1 was awarded at the Great Taste Awards 2024 in London. This recognition is one of the most respected in the food world and highlights the consistent quality of this matcha.
Rich flavour – easy to prepare
Sho Cha Matcha No. 1 is easy to whisk and develops a smooth, velvety texture. For preparation, we recommend using 1 teaspoon of matcha with 75–125 ml of water at 60–70 °C. Using a chasen (bamboo whisk) creates a fine foam that enhances the flavour.
