Description

Papaya Pieces – dried papaya for tea, muesli and kitchen

Our Papaya Pieces from Thailand bring a mild, tropical-fruity note to tea, your own tea blends, muesli, yoghurt, desserts and baking recipes. The papaya is dried and lightly sweetened, which brings out its soft, exotic aroma especially well.

The dried papaya pieces have a pleasantly soft, slightly chewy texture and a mild fruit taste. They are suitable as an ingredient for fruit tea, as a tropical component in your own tea blends or as an addition to various recipes.

Papaya pieces for tea and fruit tea blends

In tea blends, papaya pieces add a mild, tropical-fruity note. They are a good choice if you want to make your own blends rounder and more exotic – for example with apple pieces, hibiscus, rosehip, mango, pineapple, coconut, citrus fruits or mild herbs.

You can infuse the papaya pieces on their own as papaya tea or combine them with other fruits and herbs. For a more intense aroma, you can briefly soak the pieces before brewing.

Taste and use

Papaya pieces taste mild-fruity, tropical and pleasantly sweet. Thanks to the light sweetening, the taste stays round, without artificial flavours or colourings.

Besides tea, dried papaya pieces also work well in muesli, yoghurt, smoothies, desserts, pastries, bowls or as a fruity component in Asian-inspired dishes.

Why our papaya pieces?

  • Mild-fruity taste – with a tropical papaya note
  • Lightly sweetened – for a rounded aroma
  • For tea and your own blends – adds a mild, tropical note to fruit teas
  • Versatile use – for muesli, desserts, baking or as a snack
  • No artificial flavours or colourings – naturally fruity character

How to prepare papaya tea

For a fruity papaya tea, use 1–2 heaped teaspoons of papaya pieces per 250 ml of water. Pour boiling water at 100 °C over the pieces and let the infusion steep for 10–15 minutes. The longer the steeping time, the more intense the fruity note.

The infusion also tastes pleasantly fruity when served cold. Prepare it a little stronger, let it cool and serve it with ice cubes or combine it with other fruits.

Storage

To preserve the texture and aroma of the papaya pieces, store them in a dry, airtight container and keep them away from light. Also protect them from moisture and strongly scented foods.
