Description
Ground Hibiscus Blossoms
Hibiscus has been appreciated for centuries for its vibrant colour and refreshing flavour profile. Its deep red blossoms are known for their pleasantly fruity character with a fine tangy note.
In many cultures, hibiscus has a long tradition and remains popular today in teas, culinary creations and colourful recipes.
The plant is also valued as a food source for bees and pollinators thanks to its striking blossoms.
Our finely ground hibiscus blossoms are wonderfully versatile and can be used for tea, iced drinks, desserts, yoghurt or creative recipes.
Combined with ingredients such as lemongrass or apple, hibiscus creates especially refreshing summer drinks.
The powder develops an intense red-pink colour due to the natural plant compounds found in the blossoms.
Outside Europe, hibiscus powder is sometimes also referred to as “red matcha”.
Whether enjoyed as tea or used creatively in the kitchen, hibiscus powder brings colour and flavour into everyday life.
Hibiscus Tea with Ground Hibiscus Blossoms
Preparing hibiscus tea is simple: stir the powder into hot water and allow it to steep briefly.
For the best flavour, avoid steeping longer than 8 minutes, otherwise the infusion may become too intense.
Served hot or cold, sweet or savoury – hibiscus offers many possibilities for creative enjoyment.
