Description
Guayusa Tea – traditional leaves from Ecuador
Guayusa comes from the leaves of an evergreen tree that grows in the tropical regions of Ecuador. After harvesting, the leaves are carefully dried and prepared as a loose leaf tea. This preserves their pleasantly mild, herbal flavour and allows you to adjust every cup to your personal taste.
With its balanced character, this South American speciality offers an interesting alternative to classic herbal teas. Its clear, gently vegetal taste is suitable for everyday enjoyment as well as for anyone who enjoys discovering new tea varieties.
A traditional speciality from Ecuador
People in Ecuador have valued Guayusa leaves for generations. The leaves are carefully processed and packed without any additional ingredients. As a result, the infusion retains the original character of the plant and develops a clean, natural flavour.
Depending on the quantity and brewing time, the infusion can taste mild or slightly stronger. Therefore, it is easy to adjust the preparation to your own preferences. For another South American tea speciality, discover our Green Mate Tea.
Enjoy it hot or as iced tea
The loose leaves release their aroma best in a spacious tea strainer or teapot. To prepare iced tea, first brew the leaves with boiling water. Then allow the infusion to cool completely before serving it with ice cubes.
Whether enjoyed in the morning, during the afternoon or simply between meals, Guayusa Tea adds a pleasantly herbal variety to any tea collection.
