Cardamom is a popular and versatile spice used in kitchens around the world. It is suitable for both sweet and savoury dishes as well as for spice blends. It is also commonly used to flavour drinks such as coffee, hot milk or chai.

Distinctive aroma and flavour

Preparation as tea
For cardamom tea, use hot water at around 90–95 °C. Lightly crush the pods and pour the water over them. Let steep for a few minutes to allow the flavour to develop.
