Description
Pineapple Pieces – fruity-sweet for tea, muesli and kitchen
Our Pineapple Pieces from Thailand bring a tropical, fruity-sweet note to tea, your own tea blends, muesli, yoghurt, desserts and baking recipes. The pineapple is dried and lightly sweetened, which brings out its sweet, exotic aroma especially well.
The dried pineapple pieces have a soft, slightly chewy texture and an intense fruit taste. They are suitable as a fruity ingredient for fruit tea, as a sweet component in creative tea blends or as an addition to various recipes.
Pineapple pieces for tea and fruit tea blends
In tea blends, pineapple pieces add a tropical, fruity-sweet note. They are a good choice if you want to make your own blends more exotic and rounded – for example with apple pieces, hibiscus, rosehip, mango, papaya, coconut, citrus fruits or mild herbs.
You can infuse the pineapple pieces on their own as pineapple tea or combine them with other fruits and herbs. For a more intense aroma, you can briefly soak the pieces before brewing.
Taste and use
Pineapple pieces taste fruity-sweet, tropical and slightly tangy. Thanks to the light sweetening, the taste stays round and pleasantly sweet, without artificial flavours or colourings.
Besides tea, dried pineapple pieces also work well in muesli, yoghurt, smoothies, desserts, pastries, bowls or as a fruity component in Asian-inspired dishes.

How to prepare pineapple tea
For a fruity pineapple tea, use 1–2 heaped teaspoons of pineapple pieces per 250 ml of water. Pour boiling water at 100 °C over the pieces and let the infusion steep for 10–15 minutes. The longer the steeping time, the more intense the fruity note.
The infusion also tastes pleasantly fruity when served cold. Prepare it a little stronger, let it cool and serve it with ice cubes or combine it with other fruits.
Storage
To preserve the texture and aroma of the pineapple pieces, store them in a dry, airtight container and keep them away from light. Also protect them from moisture and strongly scented foods.
