Description
Hibiscus Flower Powder for Drinks and Creative Recipes
Our Hibiscus Flower Powder is made from 100% finely ground Hibiscus sabdariffa flowers. It offers a fruity, pleasantly tart flavour and gives drinks and recipes a vibrant red to pink colour.
Because the flowers are finely ground, the powder can be stirred directly into liquids and food. Depending on the quantity and recipe, it adds both colour and the characteristic fruity flavour of hibiscus.
Natural Hibiscus Flower Powder
The fine texture makes the powder easy to mix into smoothies, yoghurt, desserts, syrups, baking recipes and other drinks. It blends evenly and distributes both colour and flavour throughout your recipe.
For the best result, mix the powder with a small amount of liquid first before adding it to the remaining ingredients.
What Does Hibiscus Flower Powder Taste Like?
Hibiscus Flower Powder has a fruity, pleasantly tart flavour with gentle berry-like notes. It pairs well with apples, berries, citrus fruits, vanilla, yoghurt and many fruit-based recipes.
Start with a small amount and adjust the quantity according to your preferred flavour and colour intensity.
Ways to Use Hibiscus Flower Powder
- smoothies and smoothie bowls
- yoghurt, desserts and creams
- syrups and homemade drinks
- baking recipes, glazes and fillings
- creative beverage recipes
- natural colouring ingredient
Preparing a Hibiscus Drink
You can also stir the powder directly into hot water to prepare a hibiscus drink. As the fine powder does not dissolve completely, part of it will remain in the drink. For a clearer infusion, strain it through a very fine sieve after stirring.
