Description
Mild Japanese green tea
Japan Bancha is a high-quality green tea made from larger, later-harvested leaves. It is known for its particularly soft and mild flavour, making it an excellent choice for daily tea drinking. The long, pressed leaves unfold into a clear, light green infusion with a fresh and calming character. Bancha is harvested later in the season, which results in a lower caffeine content and a more gentle, balanced taste compared to other green teas. This makes it suitable for any time of day.
Preparation Japan Bancha Green Tea
Use 12 to 15 grams per litre of water. Heat the water to 80â90 °C and let the tea steep for 1.5 to 2 minutes. The result is a light, smooth and refreshing cup of green tea.
