Description
Spearmint Leaves – Mild and refreshing mint tea
Spearmint, also known as green mint, is a gentle and refreshing herb with a mild, slightly sweet mint flavour. It transforms every cup into a pleasant and calming tea experience. This single-ingredient herbal tea is perfect for those who enjoy a natural and fresh taste without any additives.
Compared to peppermint, spearmint offers a softer and less intense mint note, making it ideal for everyday enjoyment.
Spearmint is not only popular as a tea but also versatile in use – whether in summer dishes, refreshing drinks or creative recipes.
Preparation
- Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried spearmint leaves to a cup or tea infuser.
- Pour over 200 ml of boiling water.
- Let steep for 6–10 minutes, depending on your taste.
- Strain and enjoy.
Spearmint tea can be enjoyed hot or as a refreshing iced tea. Let it cool, add ice cubes and refine with lemon if desired.
Combinations
Spearmint blends well with many herbs. Try it with lemongrass for a fresh summer tea, or combine it with fennel, chamomile or lemon balm for a mild and balanced infusion.
The dried leaves can also be used in desserts, smoothies or salads, adding a light and refreshing touch.
