Kwai Flower Oolong with osmanthus blossoms

Kwai Flower Oolong is an aromatic oolong speciality with osmanthus blossoms. The blossoms are known for their fine floral scent and pair well with the soft character of oolong tea. Together they create a tea blend that combines floral elegance with a rounded tea base.

Compared with stronger black teas, this tea tastes lighter and finer. At the same time, it is more aromatic than many classic green teas. This makes Osmanthus Oolong interesting if you are looking for a tea that is neither too strong nor too grassy.

Preparation of Osmanthus Oolong

For preparation, use about twelve to fifteen grams of tea per litre of water. Pour hot water at around 80 to 90°C over the tea and let it steep for two to three minutes. This keeps the infusion soft and allows the floral notes to come through well.

Osmanthus Oolong can be infused more than once. With further infusions, the taste changes slightly. The floral notes appear differently depending on steeping time and amount of water.

Storage

To preserve scent and taste, store Osmanthus Oolong in a dry, cool and well-sealed place. Avoid direct sunlight, moisture and strong surrounding odours because tea and blossoms can easily absorb smells. This keeps the tea floral, soft and aromatic in taste.
