Our rooibos tea is a pure red bush tea from South Africa. It is made from 100% pure rooibos and contains no additives or flavouring. The tea has a mild, slightly sweet and rounded taste – ideal if you are looking for a natural herbal tea with a soft character.

Rooibos is also known as red bush tea. Its balanced aroma makes it a popular classic that you can enjoy on its own or combine with other ingredients.

Rooibos tea taste

Rooibos tea tastes mild, slightly sweet, rounded and gently woody. In the cup, it has a warm reddish-brown colour and a pleasantly soft aroma. Thanks to its natural taste, rooibos tea works well in many tea moments – traditionally hot, as iced tea or as a base for your own tea blends.

Enjoy rooibos tea hot or cold

You can prepare rooibos tea traditionally hot or serve it cold as iced tea. For a cold version, brew the tea as usual, let it cool and serve it with ice cubes. If you like, you can refine your rooibos tea with a little lemon juice, orange slices or fresh fruit.

How to prepare rooibos tea

For one cup, use about 1 teaspoon of rooibos tea, approx. 2–3 g. Pour boiling water at 100 °C over the loose tea and let it steep for 5–7 minutes. The longer you let the tea steep, the more intense the taste becomes.

How to store rooibos tea

• Store rooibos tea in an airtight container.
• Keep it dry, cool and away from light.
• Keep the tea away from strongly scented foods and spices, as rooibos can easily absorb other aromas.
