Azores Tea

Azores Tea – from Europe’s only tea plantation

In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, on the island of São Miguel, lies Chá Gorreana – the oldest and, at the same time, the last remaining active tea plantation in Europe. Tea has been grown and processed here using traditional methods since 1883. The unique location on volcanic soil, combined with a mild climate, gives the teas a distinctive aroma.

The plantation is a true cultural heritage site: without pesticides, using a lot of manual labor and old machinery, the tea leaves are carefully harvested and processed. This makes Azores Tea a special rarity—all-natural and authentic.

Our most popular Azores teas

Our two most popular varieties also come from this unique origin:

  • Hysson Green Tea – fresh, slightly tart, and with a subtle sweetness. Perfect for anyone who appreciates a vibrant, natural green tea.
